A Heartwarming Tale: Resilient Mama Dog Overcomes Abandonment, Delivers 14 Precious Pups at Shelter!

On Christmas Eve, Mam Nata was abandoned in front of IAPA. She was around 8 weeks pregnant and expected to give birth soon.

When the Istituto Amor em Patas (IAPA) discovered her, she was in a pitiful state. The poor dog was extremely weak and unable to stand up. To make matters worse, she was also terribly frightened, which made it challenging for the rescuers to calm her down. It took them a while, but eventually, they succeeded. According to reports, her owner abandoned her because she was terrified of her approaching puppies.

Upon initial sighting of the volunteers at the shelter, she was very wary and used all her energy to keep them at bay, acting like a protective mother. However, as time passed, she gradually let down her guard and became more sociable.

“Check out her belly – it could easily hold 13 or 14 little ones. We’re planning on scheduling her examination for tomorrow as she seems quite frail,” mentioned one of the volunteers.

“Tonight is going to be a really long night for Natajuli and us. We need to get ready for her ultrasound to make sure everything is okay.”

Natajuli has been given the green light to go back to the shelter and bring along the necessary assistance for delivering the babies. Thankfully, everything went smoothly and the first baby was a smart and lively little boy.

Can you tally the number of cute little puppies in this picture? Well, there are 14 of them as Natajuli has recently given birth to these bundles of joy.

Natajuli and her 14 adorable pups recently had a quick visit to the vet for a check-up, ultrasound, and blood tests. The proud mama was blushing in excitement, and her little ones were all plump and healthy. Witnessing their happy and thriving state, the observer was overcome with emotion and couldn’t resist the urge to shower them with kisses.

“I completely overlooked giving them names, there are 14 adorable and charming ones – it could be quite challenging to come up with names for all of them. Naming them is something everyone loves to do, so please suggest your favorite names in the comments!”
